 Description:

Gulf Coast Medical Center and our family of physicians and employees compassionately provide nationally-ranked health care. For more than 30 years, patients in Bay and surrounding counties have trusted us with their care. It's a trust we work hard to earn every day. Our legacy of caring and a strong foundation of quality help us meet the needs of the community we so proudly serve. Behind our national rankings is a medical staff of more than 300 physicians and nearly 1,000 employees and volunteers. At Gulf Coast Medical Center, you'll find a hospital that has earned the Joint Commission's National Gold Seal of Approval for our spine, stroke and wound care programs. Additionally, our cancer program is accredited with commendation by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. The common thread that runs through Gulf Coast Medical Center is our commitment to upholding our standards of care, which are found in our ICARE standards. Our goal is to make sure every interaction we have with our patients, physicians, vendors and coworkers is conducted with Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence. We believe that by providing care that's consistent with our ICARE standards and that meets national standards, we will continue to earn our patient's trust. ADVANCED TECHNOLOGYGulf Coast Medical Center is now offering potential emergency room patients how long the wait is before they make the trip. Patients can text 23000 with the word ER in the text body to find out the wait time from their cell phone. Electronic Health Record (EHR) – With EHR, access to patient health information is simplified and patient safety and quality improved. Our hospitals have brought numerous clinical components for the EHR on-line through major investments in technology. Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) –The PACS system immediately digitizes images such as X-rays, and other scans including CT, MRI and PET, so they can be stored and electronically viewed on screens anywhere. This enables doctors and other health care professionals to access the images, even remotely, and to compare new images with previous images at the touch of a button. Electronic Medication Bar Coding System (eMAR) – We led a national effort to reduce medication errors by placing this system in all of our hospitals. Bar codes on medications are scanned at the patient's bedside, providing our clinical staff with an effective tool to ensure that the right patient receives the right medication at the right time through the right route. __________________________________________________ Accreditations and CertificationsACCREDITED SPINE CERTIFICATION (JOINT COMMISSION) PRIMARY STROKE CENTER CERTIFICATION (JOINT COMMISSION)ACCREDITED WOUND CARE CERTIFICATION (JOINT COMMISSION) ACCREDITED CANCER PROGRAM (AMERICAN COLLEGE OF SURGEONS COMMISSION ON CANCER)

Called me back again asking me the same question. Then the next call I get a lil' while later they are telling me a bunch of things are wrong she...

They completely misdiagnosed me even though I was having those symptoms and doctor Joshua J White DO falsified several details on the medical report. Then they had me transported to their psychiatric hospital in Corpus Christi where I was told that my family put me in there and if I didn't take the med's I was never getting out. For three days I was disregar...
