For more than four decades, the hospital has been committed to providing technologically advanced diagnostic and treatment options close to home, particularly to those most in need.Specialty services include: the Lourdes Cancer Program; bariatric, or weight-loss surgery, certified as a Center of Excellence by the Surgical Review Committee of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery; surgical services, including many minimally invasive procedures; orthopedics; maternity services; Lourdes Specialty Hospital of Southern New Jersey, a unit for long-term acute-care patients; wound care; a neurodiagnostic sleep lab; behavioral health services; and cardiology services.

He is responsible for the performance and overall management of the systems and their affiliates. Mr. Hatala has been with Lourdes since 1986, when he joined Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in 1991 and President and Chief Executive Officer of Our Lady of Lourdes Health System in 1998. Prior to 1986, Mr. Hatala served as Executive Vice President for Operations at St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital Center in Chicago. Mr. Hatala received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University and a Masters in Business and Hospital Administration from the University of Florida. Mr. Hatala is a Vice Chairman of the Board of the New Jersey Hospital Association. He is a member of the American Hospital Association, the New Jersey Conference of Catholic Health Care Facilities and the Greater Camden Partnership and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. |
