| In a time when the world is suffering from the affects of a Pandemic, one would think that Spectrum would go above and beyond to keep their hospital clean. However, as an employee, this is not the case. They have failed to hire more staff and they are making the nurses and the technicians, who are already extremely short staffed pick up EVS work on top of all their other chores. It takes away from the patient's experience and it takes away from the healing process. It also puts patients and staff at risk more to disease with an unclean environment. They have not been good about hiring new people and they have not been able to work with their current staff in order to get a job done. I go days without seeing anybody clean the rooms. And the floor itself is never clean. Part of healing is a clean environment physically and mentally. Cleaning should be a priority and spectrum should do a better job holding their EVS staff accountable, instead of us nurses finding them sleeping in the quiet rooms. |
