 Description:

We offer a wide range of programs for families and seniors in the comfort and warmth of a community hospital. We're proud of the quality of our medical services. Los Alamitos Medical Center participates in the national 100,000 Lives Campaign to help make health care safer and more effective. We offer a Rapid Response Team that evaluates patients at the first sign of deterioration and takes necessary action to improve their condition. We've also put new technology in place to help prevent medication errors, are recognized by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association (AHA/ASA)as an Initial Performance Award winning hospital, and is the third hospital in Orange County to be designated as a Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission. Also, Los Alamitos Medical Center is fully accredited by The Joint Commission, the nation's oldest and largest hospital accreditation agency. Our cancer program is accredited by the American College of Surgeons and our emergency department is a designated Cardiovascular Receiving Center.

Michele serves as Chief Executive Officer for Los Alamitos Medical Center, the Healthcare Center on Golden Rain Road in Leisure World's Seal Beach community and the TotalCare Imaging Center, TotalCare Cancer Center, and TotalCare Infusion Center. Michele is a four time recipient of the Tenet Hospital Circle of Excellence Award, Secretary/Treasurer of United Healthcare Associated, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Hospital Association of Southern California. For nearly two decades, Michele has served in a variety of health care management roles with increasing responsibility since 1982. Prior to her appointment as CEO, she served as the Campus Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Los Alamitos Medical Center, Lakewood Regional Medical Center and Suburban Medical Center. Prior to that, she served as the COO of Garfield Medical Center and Assistant Administrator for Los Altos Hospital. Michele earned her master's degree in business administration from Pepperdine University's executive program and has two sons to keep her busy when she's away from work.

Scott is the newest member to the Los Alamitos A-Team. He came to LAMC in 2006 from HealthSouth Tustin Rehabilitation Hospital where he served as CEO. Scott began his career in healthcare in respiratory services, worked in business development, and then became director of clinical support services. He has a Bachelor of Science in business management and a Master's of Business Administration. Scott has a love of Corvettes, a great family, and a huge, loveable dog!

Diane has been at Los Alamitos Medical Center twice in her nursing career. She started here in 1970 as the head nurse and returned in 2001 as the Chief Nursing Officer. Diane holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and psychology and has a Master's of Science in Healthcare Administration as well. Among her many accomplishments, Diane has received four Nurse Executive Awards from NME / Tenet, assisted in achieving Circle of Excellence at Garfield Medical Center and LAMC, and implemented the Tenet Southern California Forms Committee to standardize forms. She is a member of the Nurse Executive Council representing California and assisted in receiving the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Grant for implementing the Rapid Response Team. Although she surely loves her work, Diane works to be able to travel the world and go on exotic vacations.

David is a graduate of California State University at Fullerton and holds a Bachelor of Administration degree. He started at LAMC in 1996 when it was part of a five-facility campus. David was the controller for LAMC, Lakewood Regional Medical Center, Suburban Medical Center, the John Douglas French Center, and the Leisure World Healthcare Center. Some of his many accomplishments include participated in obtaining approvals through Tenet CERC committee for new $10M Cancer Center on the hospital campus; developed financials and participated in obtaining corporate approvals for a $14M Land Purchase/Campus Redevelopment project, and a $7M Diagnostic Center; and was awarded the Tenet "Circle of Excellence Award" three times. David is a sports fan and enjoys vacations at the beach with is family.
