The hospital has been named as "best in the region for cardiac services" with 5 star ratings in cardiac bypass surgery and treatment of myocardial infarctions (heart attack). The 2007 HealthGrades Report indicated that the Fresno Heart & Surgical Hospital heart surgery program is rated in the top 10 of all cardiac surgery programs in the State of California.

The Fresno Heart & Surgical Hospital also rates among the top California hospitals throughout the state with regard to patient satisfaction. The hospital participates in the CHART study which is an ongoing California initiative using the NRC+Picker Group to conduct a statistically valid study comparing hospital performance in terms of patient experience and satisfaction. The hospital's results are voluntarily shared with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid as they prepare to launch a nationwide effort to assess patient satisfaction with hospitals.
