Mitch has been President and CEO of Longmont United Hospital since September 2001. Shortly after relocating to Colorado, Mitch made an immediate impact in the Longmont and surrounding communities. As founder and oversight committee member of the Support Our Students (SOS) program, Mitch brought together key community and business leaders in developing and implementing this innovative program benefiting the students of the St. Vrain Valley School District. Mitch recently accepted the Outstanding Volunteerism Award granted by the Colorado Association of Partners in Education (CAPE) on behalf of Longmont United Hospital for his foresight and development of the SOS program. Additionally, the St. Vrain Valley School Board and Administration recognized Mitch and Longmont United Hospital by awarding the newly created Community Spirit Award. Also, as a result of his efforts, Mitch was the recipient of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) Community Service Award for the State of Colorado.
