Interfaith Services and Mass

Our closed circuit TV (Channel 28) brings Roman Catholic, as well as, interfaith services to our patient rooms and lounges. Our beautifully designed and inspirational chapels on each campus are open to all faiths 24 hours a day. Both chapels are handicap accessible and are located on the main floors of the hospital facilities.

Roman Catholic Mass is celebrated daily in our Chicago Heights Chapel, Monday through Friday at 6:45 a.m., and Sundays and Holy Days at 9:00 a.m. The interfaith Ecumenical Service is held every Sunday at 2:00 p.m. At our Olympia Fields campus Mass is celebrated at Noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Anointing and Communion rounds are also made daily.

Volunteer Information

Make a difference today and everyday

Each day, volunteers at St. James Hospital and Health Centers make a difference to our patients and the community at large. Through their dedication and compassion, our volunteers add an extra dimension to our mission of providing high quality care to our patients and the services we provide to guests.

There are various volunteer opportunities available at both our Chicago Heights and Olympia Fields campuses. Volunteers help in every department of the hospital, including the information desk and gift shops. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age and be willing to volunteer three to four hours per week.

Then they had me transported to their psychiatric hospital in Corpus Christi where I was told that my family put me in there and if I didn't take the med's I was never getting out. For three days I was disregar...
