Teaching Programs
The Basic Nurse Assistant Program The Basic Nurse Assistant program is approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health and prepares students for employment as a Certified Nurse Assistant in various health care agencies including Long Term Care, Home Health and Skilled Nursing facilities. The program consists of 94 hours of theory and 49 hours of clinical instruction. Satisfactory completion of the program leads to eligibility to take the state competency written evaluation for certification. A graduate of the program will be awarded a certificate of completion. The 8 week program is currently being offered at Saint Mary of the Nazareth Hospital Center in downtown Chicago and Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines. |

Entrance Please enter the hospital through the doors marked "Hospital Entrance" between 6 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. At other times, please enter through the "C Entrance" doors. If you need to be dropped off, require wheelchair assistance, or have difficulty walking, please use the circular drive located in the front of the hospital at 2900 North Lake Shore Drive. |
