Communication was terrible. Husband had out patient surgery. They changed the discharge time three times, and the last time they didn't inform me. He was not doing so good, but they made sure that he was out by midnight. I had to drive in the dark to Corvallis to pick him up. He has a very bad back that is generally not too painful, but he had to lie flat for several hours. Was in a lot of pain. I asked the nurse to request from the doctor a couple of pain pills. - "If you are over 50 and end up at RCH that might cost you your life! My elderly mother went in with 4 known conditions, glaucoma, dementia, arthritis, and a possible stroke. The only meds she had was eye drops. They were getting ready to send her back home the next day. Then call me back and asked if she had a do not resuscitate order? I said yes. - 9-3-2021 An ambulance transported me to Christus Spohn hospital in Beeville due to breathing issues, severe headaches, fever and confusion.
