Since 1907, San Antonio Community Hospital has grown from a small community hospital in Upland to become a leader in healthcare in the western Inland Empire. Today, nearly 2,000 professional, technical, and service personnel at our 283-bed full service, acute care facility provide a comprehensive range of medical services, utilizing the latest technologies. The over 500-member Medical Staff includes many of the region's leading physicians and specialists who make San Antonio an exceptional hospital. Visiting Hours Information
The Hospital's visiting policy has been created in response to the needs and wishes of our patients and visitors. Special Circumstances:Special circumstances may indicate the need to make an exception to our visiting policy. A request can be made to the patient's nurse. |
On Site Guest Services
Cafeteria:For the health and safety of our patients and staff, we ask that food or beverages not be removed from the cafeteria. However, a guest tray may be purchased at the cost of $6.00. The tray will be delivered to your room for your guest. Arrangements can be made through the cafeteria cashier one hour prior to the patient service times. The hospital cafeteria is open daily for visitors between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Hot entrees are available during meal times, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Deli sandwiches, salad bar, and grill services are offered between 10:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Salad bar service is available Monday through Friday. |
Volunteer Information
Established in 1924, our volunteer program is an important part of the Hospital's heritage. They work in a variety of ways to achieve their mission, which is "to render service to the Hospital and its patients, and assist the Hospital in promoting the health and welfare of the community." Currently, 300 active volunteers working in 18 areas of the Hospital have donated more than 500,000 hours of their time. Our volunteers have raised over $1 million for the Hospital. Directions/Features of Surrounding Area
San Antonio Community Hospital, 999 San Bernardino Road, Upland, California, is located in the west end of San Bernardino County. This area is also known as the "Inland Empire" in southern California. Upland is approximately 35 miles east of Los Angeles and 70 miles west of Palm Springs. San Antonio Community Hospital is located 2 miles north of the Interstate 10 (San Bernardino) freeway and 5 miles northwest of Ontario International Airport. From San Bernardino Area:Take Interstate 10 Freeway west, exit at Euclid Avenue. Go north on Euclid to Foothill Boulevard. Turn east on Foothill and proceed to fourth signal, Hospital Parkway. Turn south on Hospital Parkway and continue to the Hospital visitor parking lot. The main entrance is on the southeast side of the building. |
Foundation Information
The San Antonio Hospital Foundation was officially established in 1972. The Foundation helps to motivate those in our surrounding communities to give the gift of health by supporting the Hospital's mission to maintain a long tradition of excellence in patient care and community service. Many people give their time, others donate money, and some contribute both. |
Community Outreach & Activites
Our community health education program, known as Well Connected, is designed to help our patients and community adopt a healthier lifestyle and achieve overall better health. Well Connected is the Hospital's resource for information on our programs, classes, support groups, and events. Information is available in English and Spanish and many of our classes are available in Spanish.
