Fort Walton Beach Medical Center with 247 licensed beds, is the only full service acute care hospital in the Tri-County area including Okaloosa, Walton and Santa Rosa Counties. Located in Fort Walton Beach FL, the Medical Center provides the area's only Comprehensive Cardiac and Cancer Programs and is staffed by more than 200 physicians representing over 30 specialties. The Medical Center provides a full range of medical and surgical services including: Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Vascular and General Surgery, Obstetrics and Women's Services, Psychiatric and Rehabilitation Medicine. Volunteer Information

The Fort Walton Beach Medical Center Auxiliary is actively involved in many areas of the hospital. The Auxilians staff the Information Desk/Escort, Menu and Mail Service, TLC Service, and assist in waiting rooms, just to name a few. Fundraising activities provide scholarships to deserving students.

The Auxiliary is a vital part of Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. We take pride in all they do for the hospital and the community by providing many hours of caring service.

Directions/Features of Surrounding Area

The area offers year round golf, swimming, tennis and all water sports including deep-sea fishing and every level of boating. There are many cultural activities including two Symphonies, the ballet, and an art center. The area enjoys numerous fine restaurants; many entertainment facilities and beautiful parks are found throughout the area. Their education system is one of the tops in Florida with most school rated A or A+. The education system supports kindergarten through graduate school. Churches of most denominations as well as most major civic organizations and numerous clubs can be found in the area.

Whether it's through sponsorships or participation in community events and organizations, Fort Walton Beach Medical Center and its employees volunteered thousands of hours of their time participating in health fairs, lectures, seminars, classes and support groups in furthering healthcare education and in volunteering on boards, committees and as active members of civic and church organizations that play an active role in our lives and those of our neighbors.
