Awards
NWMC has earned the Joint Commission designation as a Primary Stroke Center and received approval from the State of Florida as a Level I cardiovascular facility,thus enabling the hospital to perform emergency percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) services,also known as angioplasty. The American Stroke Association awarded the "Get with the GuidelinesSM" (GWTG–Stroke) Bronze Performance Achievement Award. The award recognizes Northwest's strong commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of stroke care by ensuring that stroke patients receive treatment according to nationally accepted standards and recommendations. Northwest Medical Center has also been granted accreditation as a Chest Pain Center by the Society of Chest Pain Centers. Lastly, NWMC was recognized as a Bariatric Center of Excellence through the Surgical Review Corporation and is also a Cigna certified hospital for Bariatric Surgery. |

Volunteer Opportunities "Sharing the Caring" Northwest Medical Center views our volunteers as valuable resources to our staff, physicians, patients, community and all our customers. We strive to effectively motivate our volunteers and maintain their loyalty by providing them with the necessary skills to enhance their usefulness and their personal growth.
