St. Mark's Hospital Senior Health Centermakes it easy for older adults to receive the care, services and support they need in one convenient location. This unique service is specially designed to provide adults age 65 and older with comprehensive, convenient and personalized healthcare. In America today, seniors are living longer, fuller lives. Maintaining good health and practicing preventative medicine contributes to a happy, active lifestyle. Unfortunately many older adults are not able to access the services they require to stay . Mark's Hospital Senior Health Center makes it easy for older adults to receive the care, services and support they need in one accessible location. Parking
St. Mark's Hospital is proud to announce that we have opened a new parking terrace on the north side of the hospital closest to 1300 East. We have added an additional 450 stalls. We hope this will alleviate some of the parking issues that patients face. You can also park in the parking terrace on the west side of campus. The parking terrace has two levels that are exclusively for the use of patients and visitors from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you are a patient or visitor in the Women's Pavilion, there is parking underneath the Pavilion and also along the south and west sides of the Pavilion. Valet parking is available for those who are physically in need of assistance from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. |

St. Mark's is centrally located in the Salt Lake Valley, with easy access from Interstate I-15, I-215 and I-80. St. Mark's is licensed for 300 beds and has 1600 employees, 600 physicians, and 180 volunteers. We are part of the HCA Healthcare Corporation, headquarted in Nashville, Tennessee. St. Mark's Hospital is a vital part of the local community, employing over 1,500 people. As a tax-paying organization, St. Mark's contributes to the local, state and federal tax base, which in turn benefit the community by funding schools, libraries and government programs. In 1998, St. Mark's contributed over $2 million in state property and sales taxes. In 1998, St. Mark's also donated over $5.2 million in charity or uncompensated care, along with more than $80,000 in charitable contributions. The hospital volunteers donated 22,695 hours of unpaid service to the hospital and its patients. |
Volunteer Information
Our Volunteers provide countless hours of service in all areas. They are an integral part of our St. Mark's Hospital family, staffing the Information Desk and Gift Shop, and providing support in a variety of areas throughout the hospital. We appreciate those willing to share their time and talents in support of St. Mark's and the community.Shifts: Volunteer shifts generally run 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (morning), 12:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.(afternoon), and 4:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. (evening). From the West: Take I-80 East to I-15 South. Take I-15 South to the I-80 East interchange. Follow I-80 East to the 700 East Exit. Exit I-80 at 700 East and turn right, heading south on 700 East. Follow 700 East to 3900 South. Turn left heading east (toward the mountains). You will see the hospital on your right about five blocks down. |

Gastric Bypass Group:The St. Mark's Center for the Surgical Treatment of Obesity offers this casual, informative meeting for anyone interested in gastric bypass surgery for obesity. Investigators, old and new patients, family and friends are welcome. Held at 7:00 pm on the fourth Wednesday of each month at St. Mark's Hospital. For more information, call 268-7479. |
