Visiting Hours Information

Generally, visiting hours are 8:30 am until 8:30 pm, but these times may vary depending on the unit. Please check with the nurse supervisor in the specific unit that you wish to visit to be certain of their visiting hours. The hours may be adjusted at the discretion of the nursing staff and will depend upon the department's activities, physician direction, and the patient's need for care and rest.

Parking

Brookwood Medical Center has two parking decks to accommodate our customers. They are accessible 24 hours a day.

The Visitor Parking Deck located across the street from the hospital has seven levels and houses three, color-coded sections. Yellow Parking is for customers who are parking to visit the Women's Medical Center or the Women's Medical Plaza. Green Parking is for customers who are parking to visit the Main Hospital or the Ambulatory Care Center. Blue Parking is for customers who are parking to visit the Professional Office Building and the Center for Mental Health.

The Brookwood Medical Plaza parking deck is located behind the hospital just outside the Plaza Building.

Valet Parking is available at the entrance of the Women's Medical Plaza and the Brookwood Medical Plaza.

Shuttle Service:
For your convenience, a complementary shuttle service is available from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. The shuttle makes various stops throughout the Visitor Parking Deck to pick up and drop off passengers. The shuttle makes stops at the Ambulatory Care Center, Main Hospital, Women's Medical Plaza and Brookwood Medical Plaza.

Directions/Features of Surrounding Area

From the Red Mountain Expressway:Traveling south, continue over Red Mountain and follow U.S. 31 south through Homewood. Exit at Brookwood Medical Center Drive, turning left at the end of the exit ramp. After crossing over U.S. 31, the hospital will be immediately on your left, and the visitor parking deck will be on your right.
