St. Elizabeth Healthcare has six hospitals in Covington, Edgewood, Falmouth, Florence, Ft. Thomas and Williamstown, Kentucky. The merger created a system with vast resources to serve the Greater Cincinnati area, including 1,187 licensed beds, more than 7,300 employees, including associates from St. Elizabeth Physicians, over 1,200 physicians with privileges (which includes over 150 affiliated primary care physicians), 1,100 volunteers, 50 primary care and specialty office locations and 3 free standing imaging centers. The health system is sponsored by the Diocese of Covington. In 2009, the system provided more than $100 million towards Community Benefit Programs and Uncompensated Care.

Volunteer Information

Volunteering at St. Elizabeth means involvement in the daily operations of a major health system and exposure to the many facets of the healthcare profession. In addition to high school students and teens, college students, retirees, and those working both inside and outside the home have discovered that volunteer service at St. Elizabeth is an avenue to uncovering hidden talents, acquiring new skills, learning about specialized healthcare fields, and most importantly, feeling good about having shared yourself with others. In 2010, St. Elizabeth had over 1,100 volunteers contribute over 121,000 hours.
