This doctor should go back to school for medicine and especially bedside manner. He was brash and uncaring. I went int...o the hospital with abdominal pain and severe constipation. I hadn't had any feces or urine pass for weeks. Twice I saw the same doctor. I was in so much pain that I was passed out for the majority of my time there. He didn't bother even waking me the first time to tell me what tests he had run, if any, and discharged me. I woke up in the waiting room where a nurse told me that my emergenc contact had been notified to pick me up. The second time I went in just a few days later because the pain had become worse and I had started throwing up blood, I asked for him to just fix me. And he said "I won't prescribe you painkillers." and I said to him, " Did I ask for painkillers? I don't take painkillers. I would like for you to run some tests, give me an IV because I haven't eaten or had anything to drink for days and possibly give me a laxative of some sort since I haven't had a bowel movement in a month." He then preceded to examine me in which he placed his hands on my abdomin, asked me "does it hurt here?" I said, "Yes that is where most of the pain is derived from." and then he pushed so hard that the next morning my entire stomach was black and blue. Then he told a nurse to administer a large shot of Adavan, which is a very strong and dangerous sedative. My fiance had come with me on this second visit. The nurse came in and said the doctor ordered him to give this to me and discharge me. My fiance said hold on a moment because he was on the phone with my primary care physician. The nurse preceded to wrap the band around my arm. When he went to give me the shot I pushed his hand away and said "no" because I didn't want to be sedated and he said, "The doctor said." and because I was in so much pain and so weak from not eating he held my hand down and gave me the shot. Then the doctor came in again and my fiance told him what happened he said again "well I won't give her painkillers." My fiance then asked him if he believed in God. Dr. Archer then preceded to attack my now husband with explitives and threats and accusations saying we were drug addicts and con artists among other things and to get out of His hospital. I threw up blood as my husband helped me get dressed again and we just left it on the bed. I ended up seeing a specialist and was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. I was given several prescriptions for imflamation and the bleeding. I don't know who in Dr. Archer's life is a drug addict or addict of some kind. But whoever it is, is effecting his ability to perform as a professional. I will have to deal with this for my whole life now, when, if it had been treated weeks before, it could have been healed before it became a serious issue. more details
