Rita M Oliverio, PHD works in Clifton Park, New York is a specialist in Psychology.
Dr. Oliverio was fixated on questioning me about lawsuits during first half dozen sessions re: My dissatisfaction with e...mployer and attorney. Lawsuits were neither consideration nor concern for me. Regarding my employment, she frequently suggested, "why don't you just go out on permanent disability?" tho wasn't medically indicated following a recent surgery and financially unfeasable. She recommended anti seizure med for weight loss "family courts don't like fat women" I'm not fat nor have i ever had a seizure. All above seemed very odd. Trying to get her to fax or mail notes to MetLife took months. I paid for certified mail the recipient never received. She said she left msg for metlife caseworker tho no record of her call was on their system. "This is the last report I'll write for you!" (one) knowing my job depended on it. She tried to make me pay $1 per page for my copy tho her detailed "agreement" stated patients have a right to a copy (no fee stated while other fees were clearly addressed). Expressing my concerns about office bullying were returned with "that happens everywhere. You should write a book." No therapy nor tools were offered for coping or dealing with any of my concerns. Confusing me with another patient, she accused me of refusing to reveal my meds. I gave them on my 1st visit. Another half dozen sessions were focused on her "I hate dealing with disability patients!" and, "I don't take Comp patients!" tho her agreement clearly outlined her handling of Comp patients. Sessions and her report were negatively focused and depressing lacking positive steps I'd taken (on my own since she offered no viable solutions nor tools) to rectify and/ or deal with issues. She called me paranoid for asking for copy of HIPPA Law. After honestly, openly answering her questions about applying for SSI retro, (some i didnt yet know the answers to & said so) immediately after our session, she called my SSI attorney without authorization nor signed release, to get detailed info; a terrible breach of trust and direct, intentional violation of HIPPA Law. She didn't know I had an appointment with SSI attorney right after our session which is how I found out she called them. 2 attorneys, my insurance company and MetLife all suggested I find another psychologist ASAP.
