My medical care was transferred to WNY medical group, after my PCP moved out of state. In the short few months this grou...p has been in the facility, it is now unrecognizable, and disgusting.
I was not seen by Dr Riffat Sadiq. After my initial visit with one of the PA’s, I had to ask who is the physician? (The website misleads patients, appearing to have many physicians) I was told I would NEVER see a doctor there, “But the staff can call her if they need to!” (No kidding) WNY medical website makes clear her focus is business, and not patient care. As founder in 2002, she’s President and CEO, works out of 9 different offices, a hospitalist at ECMC and affiliates with many other hospitals. The statement above her photograph, “Great things in business are never done by one person. They're done by a team of people.” This is not an individual who CARES to know her patients. She is not board certified after 32+ years of practice. It boasts about her business accomplishments, with terms like compassionate and skilled as after notes.
I’m glad to be seen by a PA or NP on occasion. But, I would like to personally know my PCP. I was seen by a PA who’s idea of a physical exam was: Listening to my heart and lungs over my coat with her stethoscope barely touching me. Then she gave my ankles a quick squeeze over my pants, and then pulled down on my arms by my wrists. ?? That’s it!?!? Then she looked me in the eyes and asked, “Do you have any questions?” To which I responded, “Yes, whose urine is on the counter?” As there were 3 specimen cups, without any identifiers, filled with urine of different shades of yellow sitting on the counter! The PA made numerous assuming statements regarding my PMH, and current concerns. She TOLD me I haven’t had blood drawn for over 10 years! I said that was incorrect, I recently had annual routine labs drawn. She argued “Not at Quest!” I said, “No, I don’t use Quest.” The receptionist ended up finding my recent lab work in the computer. In attempt to reorder medication after a 15min struggle on her laptop argued to forfeit the effort and just tell me Walgreens didn’t accept Escripts. Just a moment later she figured it out and reordered the non narcotic routine Med. She recommended a mammogram when I turn 50. When the standard is 40yoa!
WNY medical group is awful. Im researching and selecting a new PCP ASAP. more details
