Dr. Renee M Bibeault, MD works in Kirkland, Washington is a specialist in Psychiatry and graduated University Of Massachusetts Medical School in 1996. Dr. Bibeaultand practicing for 27 years
Dr. Bibeault makes much of the fact that she offers both medication and talk therapy. I found that to be a horrible comb...ination in her case: she has a low tolerance for being questioned or disagreed with, and if you anger her--which is easy to do--she will retaliate using her medical treatment. It's bad enough when a doctor does this with therapy, but when she makes decisions to prescribe or withold powerful medications because of her personal feelings, it's incredibly dangerous. Please be careful. more details
She is smart and very up on research and meds. If that's all you need, she'll be fine. If you need any kind of warmth, o...r empathy, you MUST go elsewhere. I referred friends to her over the years, and I owe many apologies. I'm sorry. more details
Dr. Bibeault was recomm. to me by another doc. but I find her bedside manner lacking. She is over priced. She doesn't pr...escribe meds the first visit. She seems negligent in caring for patients. I made her aware of the medications I was taking, second visit we discuss meds but neglected to discuss one medication I had been taking for quite sometime even though she was made aware I was taking it. She refused to refill my prescription when I asked, stating we hadn't discussed it. I had to come into the office. She prides herself in good patient care, but she makes decisions with out considering the patient, nor discussing those decisions with the patient. She stated she didn't want to just sign off on a med that I had been taking awhile since she didn't prescribe it, that it would be bad medical care, yet she suddenly stopped me in a medication I had been on for a few years. She encourages patients to communicate with her and bring their complaints into the office, stating she has lots of patients mad at her and she can take it, yet when I did this, she was rude and terse asking why are we still talking about this. She doesn't listen to patient. She is intimadating to talk to, which is never a good thing when you are looking for help from someone. She doesn't have a receptionist, so everything is done through email. She doesn't encourage leaving messages and seldom checks voicemail. If it's something that can't be addressed a few sentences she want to do a web consult $ or have you come into the office $$$. She doesn't seem to really want to help people, but interested in making money off them. Everything is drawn out. She seems to be intelligent, but yet she draws it out in making her conclusions and diagnosis. If she is intelligent and good in her field it should take 5 visits or longer in accessing someone's condition. I would NOT recommend her! Don't waste your time and money $$$, because she will waste Yours! more details
