I would go see Dr. Wani instead of Dr. Stevens. My vit D levels were extremely low, he gave me a megadose of vit D and n...ever rechecked my labs. I had to remind him about the info that showed up on my xrays and MRIs bc he told me that there was nothing wrong when the xrays and MRIs said differently. Then, this last time, he told me there was nothing he could do for me (he diagnosed me with ankylosing spondylitis) and then told me I was not that bad. He had never even started me on anti-TNFs yet. Only NSAIDs and methotrexate. When I mentioned humira, he told me he doesn't normally start people out on humira who are not as bad as me. In other words, he wanted me to get worse before he would treat me. Clearly, he does not keep up on his research for ankylosing spondylitis bc if he did, he would know that anti-TNFs could prevent me from getting worse. Also, he treats people who are in pain like that are drug abusers.more details
