Answered a knock at the door from the mailman, signed for a certified letter from the Sutherlin Health Clinic. It was a ...letter of withdrawal from the doctor, and am a new patient who has had only one visit to establish new patient care. The withdrawal letter stated he withdrew from futher professional care, with no explanation why, after initial review of my paperwork and accepted me as a patient. Called the office, wanted to know why he withdrew from offering my care, no explanation given. So disappointed in the lack of personal involvement. A patient fills out the initial paperwork, is accepted as a patient by the doctor, goes to the initial appointment, then gets a certified letter of withdrawal in the mail with no explanation one week later.....what doctor does something like that, with no explanation? Doctor Hersher came recommended from people in town, but perhaps it is because he has been in practicing in town for nearly 30 years, and not based on his actual skills or bedside manner. Truly disappointed in the letter to withdraw with no explanation, and the staff wouldn't give me one either when I called the office to ask. I will not recommend this Doctor to friends or family in fear they will receive a letter of withdrawal when they truly need help with medical care. ~Disappointed in Sutherlin~ more details
