I have been a patient of Dr Bernstein for some years now, and this medical office has been the worse I have ever been to.... I finally gotten to a point to where I will not take it anymore. I will be finding a new Doctor.

Recently I was ran over by a car, and the hospital said I need to follow up with my doctor. On the first appointment they denied to see me (Yeah I know thats very messed up). When I got there they said I did not have the information they needed. But when making the appointment they did not tell me to bring any information. The second time I brought the information that I was told to bring, but when I arrived they told me I did not have ALL the information needed, but I brought everything they told me to bring. They were going to deny me the visit again. I ended up speaking to a supervisor and after awhile getting very angry they did see me. The lady I spoke to before I talked to the supervisor was very rude. She tried to make it out to be my fault why they couldn't see me.

When I finally got to see Dr Bernstein he looked at my injuries, witch were pretty bad. He Refereed me to a orthopedic and also said he wrote me prescriptions for pain. Unfortunately he prescribed me some med I never even heard of, and it did nothing for the pain. Even though I told him the meds I was prescribed at the hospital for pain until I seen him worked, he prescribed me something totally different witch was no where near as strong as what the hospital prescribed me. I called and left a message with the medical assistant that the meds were not working for the pain, that I was still in severe pain and could not sleep. Its been 2 days and they still have not contacted me. I called them today, got the answering service, and the lady would not leave a message for me. She told me to call tomorrow. So this will be 3 days. They also know that Its been a week since I have had any adequate pain meds. They had plenty of time to return my call but did not.

Not only that but he never put the referral in for me to see the Orthopedic. For someone who has been ran over by a car I have been treated very badly. This is not the first problem I have had with this office. I could go on. I will be looking for a new doctor who treats his patients right.

I would NOT recommend him. In fact I would do everything possible to avoid this doctor. If someday you need care, you might just end up suffering. If I had to rate him from a scale of 1 - 10 I would rate him a 1 more details
