In 2002 I went to Dr. Riggs for ringing in the ears. At the visit he looked in my nose and told me I had a deviated sept...um, something which I didn't know I had and never had had a problem because of. He said he could repair that and so I agreed and he then performed a Sinuplasty. Afterward I started having nasal breathing problems and when I went back I informed him. He looked in the nose and said he had done a very good job and so I should not be having any breathing problems. So now in the 20 years since I have what is known as LWI, or Lateral Wall Insufficiency. My nasal breathing is significantly impaired and causes me a cascade of other problems, the most notable being my sleep quality. I am lucky if in any night I get 3 hours of sleep and so I am constantly fatigued. Every day of my life I regret going to see Dr. Riggs.more details
