Terrible. Truly. She became very combative and angry once I questioned the repeated method (talk therapy) she insisted ...on using with me despite it was obviously not appropriate in my situation (non-situational depression). It was clear she had nothing else in her repertoire when I asked for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (practical therapy - tools to use). She became very, very defensive. Haven't seen anyone in the medical system throw a temper tantrum before, that was a new one. Not a great thing to experience when you're trying to put your defenses down to talk to a stranger openly. Crazy!
P.S. Don't give up on therapy because you've had a bad experience. There are bad therapists just like there are bad chefs. You don't stop going out to dinner, you find a new place to eat! Keep trying til you find a good therapist. more details
