Here is something I would like to add. Just this moment I received a call from a number I didn't recognize, I answered a...nd was quickly hung up on. I called the number back and it was Dr. Ira Shafran office. The nurses didn't know what to say, because the Dr placed the call himself. Unbeliveably unprofessional making prank calls! WOW

You response is rather rude. Are you not accepting new patients or is there some r...eason you are telling me find another Dr.? According to this Doctor's website he handles people with conditions such as mine. I would like to know you are telling me this.

I sent an e-mail to this Dr today, it read:

Good afternoon,

I am hoping to get an appointment and hop...ing you are accepting new patients. Last year I was diagnosed with external hemorrhoids. During my colonoscopy they also found polyp's and tubulovillous polyps', I think 3 of them. All removed and now I am to have a colonoscopy every year. Last year I think in Oct I had the stapling technique done for the hemorrhoids, by a Dr. XXX in Maitland, Fl. I am very disapoointed in the results, it did not work. I have severe discomfort, constant itching and pain as well as bleeding when I have a bowel movement. I have insurance, Cigna. I am usually working that's why I am e-mailing you. I can make an appt by phone, but didn't want to have to discuss what's going on with me and my symtopms in the chance of others at work hearing me, it is very embaressing. I work till 5pm and need an appointment as soon as possible if you are accepting new patients would be greatly appreciated. I would really appreciate any appt you have.
