I contacted Optimum Health as a new patient in order to have a physical. I also wanted to ask specific questions about n...utrition planning as a vegetarian and to seek advice on sleeping and digestion concerns. When I called, the nurse listened to my needs and concerns and scheduled an appointment with Heather Myers, A.P.R.N. On the day of my appointment I arrived 10 minutes early and waited 35 minutes past my appointment time to be taken to an exam room. I waited 10 more minutes in the exam room before Heather Myers entered with a nursing student. She reviewed my patient history (very minimal) as the nursing student took my heart rate, pulse, and checked my ears and throat. I did not disrobe, they did not take any blood/urine samples, and no further testing was done. When I asked specific questions about nutrition Heather did not offer suggestions. I asked for a recommendation for a good multivitamin and whether one could be purchased in Dr. Tague's nutrition store and she said dismissively that I could stop in and ask someone after my appointment. She did not have suggestions, comments or recommendations to assist with the sleeping or digestion questions. She politely phrased her statements to end the exam without responding to my questions and left with the student who had apparently just given me my initial exam as a new patient at this office.
