I had the worst experience I have ever had with a physician with Dr. Warren. I now, at age 66 have rather severe memory ...loss. An excellent physician has told me that I do not have any type of dementia. There are reasons for me to believe that excessive E.C.T. treatments done by Dr. Warren caused this very difficult problem. I tried to find out for sure by showing my records from Suncoast Hospital to my present psychiatrist. He was unable to tell me as it seems that proper documentation involves a full page of written observation and facts including a detailed description of the seizure. Dr. Warren wrote "E.C.T." and signed his name. When he came in to do the treatments, he said hello to all the staff but ignored me, the patient. I called his office with a simple question. I believe it was to ask if the time a medication he ordered was taken mattered. Upon asking the receptionist, I heard Dr.Warren bellowing in the background " I do not practice telephone medicine. If she wants to know, she can make another appointment, come in and ask me." I couldn't believe this response and persisted. His wife- counselor at the office then got on the phone and repeated what he had said. I believe it was at this point that I hung up, cancelled any future appointments and found a good doctor. I have taken the time to write this to prevent possible harm to others. I am a retired registered nurse who had anxiety and depression. more details
