Ellen was hands down the WORST therapist I've ever gone to. This is because she seemed genuinely disinterested in me and... yet, she did not suggest that I seek help elsewhere. (I think this is because I was able to fill a midday time slot and she wanted the money!) She was constantly yawning during our sessions and, one time, she even FELL ASLEEP! Now that I have moved on and have been in therapy with someone I actually work well with, I am able to look back and see just how harmful her inaction and willingness to let me stagnate while in her care was. She may be a great therapist when she "clicks" with someone. But be warned: If you are feeling like she isn't being helpful to you, GET OUT! She's probably never going to recommend that you look elsewhere for help, so you need to take the step to leave.
