This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a healthcare professional. He was irresponsible and negligent in his ...care with me. I saw him in a period of crisis and on our first appointment he recommended a new SSRI to try out. When I asked if he could prescribe it to me, he told me to talk to my Nurse Practitioner and get back to him even though I told him I terminated care with her. This seemed weird but I did that. On our second appointment I told him my Nurse Practitioner was on holiday and I couldn’t get a hold of her, I was out of meds and in a moment of crisis and he refused to give me a prescription. I was so confused because he didn’t really say why he couldn’t fill my prescription. That day was a moment where I urgently needed him to step up and help me out and he left me confused and did not do his job. I talked to my doctor and my therapist and they both said that his behavior had been negligent and irresponsible. On our last appointment I had to ask him FIVE times if he wanted to take over and be my prescriber, he deflected the question on four of those occasions. Finally I had to ask him in a very direct way if he wanted to be my doctor and he said we were not a good match, which he should have made clear on the first or second appointment. I basically had to do his job and corner him to tell me he didn’t want to be my head doctor. He did not see an error in his way. I would not recommend his care to anyone.more details
