Dr. Shelton was very rude to me when I was trying to explain my mother's plight. He wouldn't listen to me, he kept inter...upting me,and he humiliated me. He wanted to give my mother a blood pressure medication when I had asked the nurse to let my mother calm down to make sure that her pressure was up. I've been caring for my mother for a little over 3 years and I am aware of what would happen if her blood pressure is already low but reads high if she is not relaxed. Dr. Shelton shouted at me and asked me was I a Doctor?!!! He kept yelling so that everyone could hear. Then he threw his hand at me and walked out of the hospital room where my mother was. I had asked the attendant to ask Dr. Shelton could I speak with him. Dr. Shelton did not come back he only sat at his desk. Later that next day, The nurse came to me and said that my mother's blood pressure was alright. Then she said to me, "You made a good call!" Case in point, Had I not been at the hospital and the blood pressure medication would have been administered to my mother, chances are, she could have passed away because her blood pressure would have gone down to nothing....no pulse.Then there would have been a problem. If a Doctor doesn't listen to the patient or someone that has power of attorney over that person, how can he/she diagnose? Dr. Shelton should also understand that if it weren't for the patient(s), he wouldn't get a paycheck. Dr. Shelton will never care for my mother again. more details
