Unprofessional and biased.Collaborates with certain attorneys to recommend in their clients favor. She can be bought and... sold.
She charges almost 8000$ for her custody evaluation and report with custody recommendation. She charges minimum 2 hours for expert testimony , 700$. Her "custody investigation"was her emailing questions to a couple of child's teachers and short telephone interviews. She never followed up on allegations and statements with both parties. Had she bothered a little to actually read the medical notes OR school reports OR teachers emails , ---LIKE SHE SUPPOSED TO DO AS IMPARTIAL INVESTIGATOR-she would have RIGHT AWAY discovered that the one who hired her HAD LIED ABOUT EVERYTHING TO HER. it was all in the documents, dont have to dig deep at all. She never bothered to read ANYTHING(or perhaps she has , but "closed her eyes on this info"as this client hired her, and she did not expect her report would be checked under a microscope and that she would get caught this time?)
She never conducted follow up clarifications to determine veracity of statements. Her $ 8 000 report was very poorly written , was painfully obvious she cut and pasted the beginning and the end parts, and the middle was incoherent illogical blabber , basically this DOCTOR doing everything in her power to stick a square peg into a round hole. This was not under no wildest imagination a writing at doctorate level. Mistakes-galore-misspelled words, punctuation errors, and again, very obvious effort to reveal all the negatives about one side and hardly anything that she "could find"--bc she never looked --on the client whose attorney had hired her.
Is this even real?How can this be ?Her duty to do everything to get to the truth and act in the BEST INTEREST OF A CHILD.
I guess Barbara Higa Rogers emboldened deliberate sloppiness as custody evaluator is her baseline work ethic. To do such a sloppy job, to be biased, to not actually verify anything-basically go ahead anyone , lie to this PhD, she wont care, especially if she already knows who she is going to fault in her "masterpiece report" for $8000.
Why is she so obviously careless and sloppy? BECAUSE HARDLY ANYONE PUTS HER ON THE STAND, BC REGULAR PEOPLE CAN NOT AFFORD A TRIAL. AND THIS CREATURE KNOWS THIS. AND THERE SHE IS, CHARGES ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF MONEY, AND SHAMELESSLY HARDLY DOES ANYTHING, AND OF COURSE THERE IS AN ELEMENT OF POWER, THE JUDGES LISTEN TO HER RECOMMENDATIONS.
When Barbara Higa Rogers was summoned to the court to testify about her "masterpiece" and investigation -my attorney called her to discuss her investigation before hand and she ignored to reply. When she was asked on the stand about it , she played"busy card". The most interesting part of this spectacle was my attorney drilling her about her conclusions based on nonexistent investigation and asking questions about the documents that she never bothered to look at -as part of her investigative job before rendering her "recommendation". She could not answer any questions, it was a pitiful site to witness, as this PhD could not defend her $8000 masterpiece, her answer to why she never bothered to verify the teachers testimonies, or look at medical or school records this PhD answered that she had not reason to doubt the replies in her email questions.
At the end of her testimony that lasted 2 or 3 days at 350 $ per hour, she could not provide any coherent explanation to any questions , and could not defend her recommendation, and appeared impatient and defensive. This should never happen if one does their job honestly and responsibly. Barbara Higa Rogers is a custody evaluator for hire-she is not impartial and honest .She does not do her job as investigator responsibly and with honor and integrity.Her recommendations are fruit of poisonous tree.
She does not care if the child goes to a child molester,or an abusive parent. She does not work "in the best interest of the child". She works in the best interest of her bank account. She has gotten so emboldened bc no one challenges her in court.Court trials are expensive and this creature knows it. I dont believe she feels ANY shame while being drilled on the stand about her shoddy work -she is making money either way. I feel compelled to share this to empower people on this island make an informed decision when hiring a custody evaluator. Remember, even if your aggressive attorney collaborates w/ Higa Rogers to have her fault your opponent to recommend custody in your favor, if opposing attorney puts her on the stand, you may well lose your case and will be out of at least 15000 USD. And she will laugh all the way to the bank.Or if you did not know and agreed to the opposition's recommending hiring Higa Rogers as custody evaluator , she will fault you, will give that kid to molester and abuser -she does not care-and will do it over again and again.
