I recommend you DON'T use Dr Shraga.

I had an appointment and called a couple days before with a question/conc...ern and they never got back to me. No big deal. That's not why I'm leaving this review. That was only the beginning of my bad experience with the doctor and his office.

I was a new patient, there for a full-body scan. My experience over the past 30 years seeing dermatologists was that the scans usually take about 20 minutes give or take a few so I expected at least that, especially since I was a new patient. I was in the exam room on or about the time of my appointment so that was good. The nurse came in and did what she does and instructed me to get undressed for the exam. After a couple minutes the doctor and nurse came in and asked me why I still had my pants and shirt on. I told him since I wasn't given a gown and did not know how long I'd be sitting in the exam room before being checked out I kept them on. As I was taking them off they both walked back out even though my pants and shirt were off before the door closed behind them. About 5 minutes later they came back in to do the exam. The exam took all of about 5 minutes and after telling me all looks good and he'll see me in a year he was out the door. I expected, as I wrote above, maybe 20-25 minute exam and any new-patient stuff. You know, history, discuss things that he found or noticed but nothing like that happened. My appointment was for 9:30 am and I was back home, in the door at 9:50. My wife asked me if they had cancelled my appointment or if something had gone wrong. I told here what had happened and she agreed that it was a quick exam.

When I got the EOB from my insurance I noticed it was for a new-patient visit, averaging 30-40 minutes so I decided to give the office a call and talk to the manager. The manager was out of the office until next week but she will be sure to give me a call when she gets back. Ok, that's fair. So, next week comes and goes and no call so now it's been over two weeks since my appointment and I called the office again. This time after going through a few people and explaining that it's not my first call, I spoke to Dr Shraga. We talked for a while and went back and forth with my story/concerns. He went over the things he saw and put on my chart. But when I asked him about a few things that he didn't notice that I know are there and past doctors have always brought up or asked me about, he didn't have anything to say. He said he would find out why I never got my call back before the appointment and why the manager didn't reach out to me. He told me that the acceptable time for a full-body scan is 5 minutes according to whoever regulates or determines these kinds of things. He offered another exam free of charge but I told him I would not come back. Now I'm a Karen and probably will be looked at that way the next time I come in. And do I want another 5 minute exam? He said someone from billing would get back to me if there was anything that he/they could do. So in the end he spent more time on the phone with me than he did looking at my body.

And still no call back.

When my wife talked to the woman who recommended him to me and told her what happened she was shocked. She said he always takes 15-20 minutes on her scans and she has been seeing him for years. Maybe I'm not as cute as her?
