Worst incompetent, uneducated psychiatrist. Caused me PTSD, Akathisia and Neurotoxicity from taking me off 15 years of a...n Antidepressant in 3 months! Never recovered, lost my career and now on Disability. Korchmarev deserves to lose his license. Stay away from this greedy quack. more details

Dangerous, incompetent. Caused my PTSD & Neurotoxicity!
Dr. Korchmarev titrated me off an SNRI antidepressant I was ...on for 15 years over only 3 1/2 months. My symptoms were devastating terror & fight-or-flight all day, everyday, 24/7, even though nothing was going on to warrant that response. I continued to follow his advice & endure the suffering until I started researching for myself & discovered he’d caused me Neurotoxicity - as he was totally IGNORANT on FDA recommendations: if a patient has severe symptoms during Antidepressant withdrawals, immediately put patient back on the meds and titrate slower! Dr. Korchmarev did NOT do this! He kept prescribing so many medications to cover it up and fix the damage, but nothing worked. He also diagnosed with PTSD because of his incompetence. Lost my career in television and I am DISABLED, on SSDI. Then - out of desperation- he put me back on the SNRI a year later. When I tried to taper off again - I discovered I had suffered kindling from his stupidity!
When I left him for another psychiatrist, he LIED ON MY RECORDS by downplaying my traumatic symptoms. But he notated diagnosing me with PTSD while under his care. How would I get PTSD without any notated reason?
Dr. Korchmarev deserves to lose his license for MALPRACTICE. It’s been 9 years since I trusted him. He took my life and who I was. NEVER RECOVERED. more details
